Notice of Public Hearing – Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 1804, 2024

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 466 of the Local Government Act, a series of Public Hearings will be held on Monday November 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. to hear representations on the following matter:

CITY OF ENDERBY ZONING BYLAW NO. 1550, 2014 AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 1804, 2024

Bylaw No. 1804, 2024 proposes to amend the City of Enderby Zoning Bylaw No. 1550, 2014 in order to:

1. State that decorative corrugated metal fence panels are a permitted material for screening purposes; and

      2. Update the front and rear yard setback provisions for single-family dwellings in the Residential Multi-Family Medium Intensity (R.3) zone in order to be consistent with the front and rear yard setback provisions in other residential zones, which are as follows:

      Front and Rear Yard Setback – 6 m (19.68 feet) for single family dwellings except that the front and rear yard setbacks may be reduced to 4.5 m (14.76 feet) for single family dwellings on lots exceeding twenty percent (20%) average natural slope determined from the uppermost point on the lot to the lowest point on the lot.

      All persons who consider they are affected by the above Bylaws will be provided an opportunity to make representation to Council by attending the Public Hearing or by delivering a written submission to the Corporate Officer by 3:00 pm on November 4, 2024 (drop off: City Hall, 619 Cliff Avenue; mail – PO Box 400, Enderby BC, V0E 1V0; email – info@cityofenderby.com).  Should you wish to attend the Public Hearing electronically, please refer to the agenda package for the Council meeting of November 4, 2024 for instructions.  Copies of the proposed Bylaw may be inspected at the office of the City of Enderby, 619 Cliff Avenue, Enderby, B.C. until November 4, 2024, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, and will be posted to:
