Cemetery

Cliffside Cemetery is located at 169 Enderby-Grindrod Road. It is a rustic cemetery that offers burial and cremation plots as well as columbaria niches. The Cliffside Cemetery primarily serves City of Enderby and Rural Enderby (Electoral Area F of Regional District of North Okanagan) residents.

Hours of Operation

The cemetery is open to the public from 8am to the earlier of dusk or 9pm.

Flowers and Grave Adornments

Cut and artificial flowers and wreaths may be placed on graves or in metal or plastic (not glass) vases.

The cemetery caretaker may remove the above due to deterioration or maintenance impact.

Any other items, including trees, shrubs, plants, boxes, shells, toys, wire screens, arbours and trellises are prohibited and will be respectfully removed by the cemetery caretaker.

For information regarding reservations and interments, please contact City Hall.

Please note that application for interment must be made at least three business days prior to the scheduled date of interment between March 15th and October 15th and at least five business days prior to the scheduled date of interment between October 16th and March 14th.

Cliffside Cemetery Land Use Plan

A Land Use Plan for the Cliffside Cemetery was completed in 2018, and accepted by elected officials in 2019. The results came from a public survey and open house, as well as consultation with staff and maintenance contractors.

The Land Use Plan provides a guideline for the next 25 years of growth in the cemetery. Some of the proposed improvements are subject to future demands and needs.
