On May 1, 2025, all properties connected to the City of Enderby drinking water system must follow Stage 2 water restrictions.
Stage 2 water restrictions are required due to the reconstruction of Reservoir #1, which has reduced water storage capacity.
Stage 2 requires you to do some things differently so that there is enough water to meet community needs.

Stage 2 And How It Affects You
You may water your lawn two days per week for a maximum of two hours per day, between 6am-9am and 6pm-9pm.
If you have an odd-numbered civic address, you may water on Tuesday and Saturday. If you have an even-numbered civic address, you may water on Wednesday and Sunday.
The same also applies to underground irrigation, except that it must occur between 12am-6am. Remember to change the settings on your irrigation controller!
Additional watering days are provided for drip irrigation and hand watering of lawns, landscaping, plants, trees, shrubs and flowers, as well as watering that is related to food security.
Tip: Print the Graphic for Easy Reference
Print off the graphic below and post it somewhere visible in your house, so that you have a quick reference for when you are permitted to water under Stage 2:
Why are we in Stage 2?
The City of Enderby drinking water system normally operates with two reservoirs that store water for domestic and emergency use.
The oldest of the reservoirs is being rebuilt. While construction is occurring, the entire community is reliant upon a single reservoir for domestic and emergency use. This requires all of us to save water so that there is enough available for community needs.
Reservoir construction is expected to be completed in late September 2025.

Emergency Water Conservation Measures
In the event of an extraordinary situation, such as a structure fire or water break that causes a sudden and significant water loss, the need to replenish water storage to normal levels may require additional temporary, emergency water conservation measures over and above the Stage 2 restrictions.
Any emergency water conservation measures would be announced on Facebook and Alertable. Follow us on Facebook and sign up for the free, Alertable app so you don’t miss any emergency updates.
Higher Stages of Water Conservation
There are four stages under the Water Conservation & Drought Response Framework. In the event that Stage 2 is not sufficient to protect the drinking water supply, a higher stage may need to be implemented.
A change to a different stage will be announced in advance on the City’s website, Facebook page, digital sign north of City Hall, and through local media sources.
