The residential garbage collection day in the City of Enderby is changing to Tuesdays beginning in 2015. The new collection day will be every Tuesday. The first collection will be January 6, 2015. Only the day is changing, so residents should continue to place garbage containers at curbside prior to 7am on collection day.
Recycling is delivered by a different contractor arranged through the Provincial Multi-Material BC initiative, and is not affected by the change in garbage collection day.
The new garbage collection company for the City of Enderby is Tip-It Waste Solutions, a locally owned company. Owner Kendall Johnson said of the new relationship, “We are very excited to be able to work with the City of Enderby providing weekly waste removal and are committed to providing a professional, friendly local service for Enderby’s residents. All of our employees live in the North Okanagan. I own a property in this great city and one of my full time operators and his family own a house in the City of Enderby, not too far from the Shuswap River, and love living here!”
“We are dedicated to providing efficient and cost effective waste removal solutions. Recycling and waste reduction are always important goals we strive for,” noted Johnson.
