Attention Enderby Businesses! The City of Enderby is offering some new initiatives to aid your economic recovery from the pandemic. We want to help you let your customers know that you are open for business!
Two of these initiatives are temporarily allowing businesses to advertise for up to two weeks on the community digital billboard, and temporarily allowing restaurants and retail stores not located along the highway to place a sandwich board on the sidewalk of the Highway 97A corridor!
The business eligibility requirements for these initiatives is as follows:
Business Marketing on Community Digital Billboard
- Must have a commercial storefront within Enderby city limits;
- Must hold a valid City of Enderby Business License; and
- Local businesses within Enderby city limits who do not have a commercial storefront may make a written request to be included as an Eligible Business, which will be considered on the basis of demonstrated financial impact, potential to aid recovery, and strength of participation from local businesses with commercial storefronts.
- Application required; subject to the normal terms and conditions of using the Digital Billboard, except that business marketing is temporarily permitted.
Highway Sandwich Boards
- Must be a retail store or restaurant;
- Must have a commercial storefront within Enderby city limits;
- Must hold a valid City of Enderby Business License; and
- Other businesses with a commercial storefront in Enderby which are not a retail store or restaurant, may make a written request to be included as an Eligible Business, which will be considered on the basis of demonstrated financial impact, potential to aid recovery, and strength of participation from the restaurant and retail sector.
- Application must be approved; subject to the normal terms and conditions of sidewalk encroachments, except that nonadjacent businesses are temporarily permitted to place a sandwich board sign in an agreed-upon location.
