The City of Enderby is challenging its residents to join in the 9th Annual Our Enderby Clean-Up Challenge. Enderby residents can show their civic pride by helping to clean-up and beautify areas throughout the community. Participants are encouraged to gather at 10:00 am on Saturday April 23, 2022 in the City Hall parking lot. The Clean-Up Challenge will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The Clean-Up event will be followed by an Appreciation Barbeque at 12:00 pm in the City Hall parking lot, hosted by the Enderby & District Lions Club. Participants will be provided with food and refreshments to celebrate their community contribution.
“The annual Clean-Up Challenge is a great way to kick off spring and come together as a community to clean up our environment. This event is an opportunity for us to get outdoors, show our civic pride, and celebrate the fact that we live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet,” explains Mayor Greg McCune.
The City of Enderby FireSmart Coordinator will have a booth at the Clean-Up Challenge and will be available to chat with residents about the principles of FireSmart and the steps they can take to protect their property. For FireSmart tips and resources, please visit www.cityofenderby.com/firesmart.
At the same time, residents and businesses can dispose of excess paper by attending the Enderby Lions Club’s paper shredding event taking place in the Enderby & District Financial parking lot from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm. Paper shredding is done by donation, with a $5.00 minimum.
