We were able to secure an extra-early date with our street sweeping contractor this year – just in time for what looks to be an early start to spring!
Weather permitting, street sweeping in the City of Enderby will occur on Sunday, March 28 and Friday, April 2, 2021.
This year, we will be approaching the street sweeping a bit differently. Street sweeping will occur on 2 days.
- On March 28, street sweepers will be focusing on George Street (Highway 97A) and the downtown area east of George Street to collect the area with the heaviest material. See the image below.
- On April 2, street sweepers will return to sweep the rest of the community, including those areas where the March 28 preliminary sweep occurred.
On March 28, the street sweepers will hit as much of the roads adjacent to the below properties marked in yellow (click the image to expand) as possible – their progress depends on how much material has accumulated on the road:
Here is how you can help us to “crush the dust”!
- Sweep your sidewalks to the curb – try to avoid making piles of material as it is easier to pick up by the sweeper if it is more evenly distributed.
- Do not park on the street until after the sweeper passes – this will ensure that the street sweeper clears as much debris as possible and avoids missing spots.
Be sure to give our contractor a friendly wave and welcome them!
